Delaware North is hiring a Vice President, Global Accounting Services to join our team at our Global Headquarters in Buffalo, New York. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our finance shared services vision and strategy, ensuring integrity in financial reporting, and driving operational excellence across all accounting processes. As Vice President of Global Accounting Services, you will oversee and direct global financial accounting, operational reporting, and transactional process owners, while maintaining a robust control environment. You will be responsible for publishing accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP, managing audit processes, and evolving key accounting policies. This role requires strategic leadership and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Job Responsibility:
Lead global business services accounting operations, including record-to-report and revenue integration
Oversee preparation and integrity of consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP and international standards
Work with internal and external customers to understand business requirements, drive supporting processes, and establish service level agreements to ensure requirements are understood and met within agreed upon standards
Drive the vision and execution of finance shared services, evolving the outsource strategy and vendor relationships to drive process effeciency and continuous improvement
Utilize and refine service level agreements and key performance indicators to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a strong control environment across all of the company’s subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards
Partner with corporate and subsidiary finance leaders to optimize cash flow through enhanced forecasting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
MBA preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
15+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, including leadership roles in global organizations
Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and disclosure requirements
Proven ability to effectively communicate to and influence senior stakeholders on complex issues
Previous experience managing and developing large teams
Strong business acumen and experience with a financial background across multiple disciplines
