Job Description

The Vice President will play a key role in driving BlackRock's thought leadership. The role will focus primarily on geopolitical and policy research and writing, but will also have the opportunity to participate in projects focused on corporate affairs and firm strategy. This role will report to the Director of Geopolitical Research and Strategy at BlackRock, working in close partnership with the Chairman of BII. In this capacity, the Vice President will have the opportunity to contribute to executive-level decision-making across a range of areas, furthering BlackRock's mission to help more and more people experience financial wellbeing.

Job Responsibility

  • Create executive-level presentations and talking points for the Chairman of BII for internal and external audiences
  • Be a key contributor to the BII geopolitical risk initiative, including drafting content and coordinating activities for the BII Geopolitical Risk Dashboard
  • Contribute to other research and thought leadership initiatives at BlackRock
  • Provide broad support to the office of the chairman, including assessing incoming opportunities and business requests, preparing briefing memos and coordinating other strategic efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with a strong record of academic achievement
  • 5-7 years of professional experience
  • Strong interest and background in geopolitics, public policy, and corporate affairs
  • Ability to prepare detailed, high-quality briefing materials, speeches, and persuasive, fact-based research
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in collaboration with partners and senior leaders
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedication to excellence and high attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and a high degree of professional integrity
