Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished finance leader to guide financial planning and oversight for our organization in Garden City, New York. This role will shape budgeting strategy, strengthen reporting practices, and provide leadership with clear insights into financial performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of close processes, forecasting, and executive-level financial analysis to support sound business decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting cycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets
  • Oversee the month-end close process to deliver accurate and timely financial results for leadership review
  • Establish and refine budgeting procedures to improve planning accuracy, accountability, and operational visibility
  • Prepare and present financial reports that highlight performance trends, risks, and key business drivers
  • Manage cash flow forecasting activities to support liquidity planning and informed decision-making
  • Partner with senior leaders to evaluate financial results, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain strong financial controls and promote consistency across reporting and planning activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role such as Vice President of Finance, Finance Director, or a comparable position
  • Strong background in annual budgeting, forecasting, and broader financial planning processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing month-end close and producing reliable financial statements
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear reporting and actionable recommendations
  • Experience with cash flow analysis and forward-looking liquidity forecasting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
