Job Description

The Vice President of Clinical Operations for Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) reports to the MHS Chief Financial Officer. This position provides leadership and guides strategic direction for the organization's system-wide clinical functions. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and operational excellence in system-wide clinical departments. The VP collaborates with senior leaders, physician leaders, and operational teams to implement best practices, optimize care delivery, and facilitate system-wide clinical performance in patient safety, quality, care coordination and appropriate staffing across the care continuum.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing and leading enterprise-wide strategies that improve the health outcomes of defined patient populations while reducing costs and enhancing patient and provider experience
  • Overseeing Care Coordination Center (CCC) operations and strategy development which focuses on patient access, throughput, capacity management, remote patient monitoring programs, and other various clinical programs while ensuring appropriateness of data analytics and reporting
  • Conducting continual analysis of a variety of metrics that surround labor cost and management with related projections to assist with making decisions and recommendations to organizational executives
  • Providing administrative and strategic leadership with oversight of business planning, proposal and implementation of a new Advance Care Planning and Palliative Care Program at Memorial Healthcare System
  • Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of MHS system-wide pre-admission testing services
