Delaware North Gaming is hiring a Vice President, Assistant General Manager to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As the Vice President, Assistant General Manager, you will support the overall leadership and daily operations of a dynamic gaming and entertainment destination featuring 1,100 video gaming machines, live horse racing, and multiple food and beverage outlets. Reporting to the General Manager, this role partners closely with department leaders to drive operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional guest experience across gaming, racing, and hospitality operations.
Job Responsibility:
Support the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of gaming, racing, food & beverage, and support departments
Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to department heads to ensure alignment with operational, financial, and guest service goals
Monitor overall property performance, including labor, revenue, expense control, and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, safety standards, and company policies
Collaborate with department leaders to improve guest experience across gaming, dining, and entertainment venues
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and execution of business plans to achieve financial targets
Participate in talent development, succession planning, and performance management initiatives
Support initiatives related to process improvement, operational consistency, and guest satisfaction
Act as a leader-on-duty as needed, responding to operational issues, guest concerns, and escalation matters
Requirements:
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in gaming, hospitality, or large-scale entertainment operations
Prior experience in a casino or regulated gaming environment strongly preferred
Experience overseeing multi-department operations, including gaming and food & beverage
Strong financial acumen, including labor management, budgeting, and performance analysis
Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Working knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance standards, and internal controls
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
