Job Description:

Step into the role as Vice President, Barclays Global Markets Operations (GMO) Delivery Management in Hong Kong, In this role, you will ensure that the GMO change priorities are being driven from within and that you are influencing and contributing to the banks strategic and regulatory change agenda. You will work across GMO Post Trade and Middle Office to articulate business cases for priorities and drive these through the internal sponsorship process. You will perform impact assessments for change where GMO are affected across Markets. You will define process change and areas of opportunity for improvements, strategic operating model changes, define governance models and implement change front to back across process and strategic architecture.

Job Responsibility:

  • Management of strategic operational changes and initiatives to enhance the bank's operational efficiency and effectiveness, including the identification and assessment of changes on people, processes, and systems.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers and SMEs to support business operation team and promote alignment between operations with the bank’s objectives.
  • Development and implementation of change management strategies and effectively communicate the strategies so they are understood and adopted by stakeholders.
  • Management and development of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business functions, utilising data and technology to support the identification of areas that require improvement.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to change management.
  • Provision of guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the operational change management process through training and coaching.
  • To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies

  • deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
  • If managing a team, they define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes.
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
  • Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • A positive can-do attitude, combined with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in presenting information in a concise and informative manner
  • Able to capture User Requirements clearly and articulate to Technology product teams
  • Detailed knowledge or experience in various Markets and Corporate Post Trade functions, preferably holding a previous position in: Middle Office, Trade Management, Confirmations, Settlement & Delivery, Asset Servicing
  • Detailed knowledge of at least 2-3 of the following Product Families: Securities, Listed Futures & Options, Foreign Exchange, OTC Derivatives
  • Strong skills in the use of documentation, planning and presentation software tools e.g. Advanced MS Office, SharePoint, Visio skills, MS Co-Pilot, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Alteryx, UiPath, MS Project, JIRA preferred
