Job Description:

The Vice President and Branch Sales Manager at HSBC is responsible for managing a team of relationship managers, delivering business objectives, adhering to compliance standards, and building strong client relationships. The role involves mentoring and leading the team, ensuring sales and operational processes comply with regulations, and contributing to the growth of HSBC's wealth management services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead PRMs, AWMs, and SAWMs to achieve consistency in service and sales
  • monitor and act on sales activity management information to coach team and achieve business goals
  • identify and act on factors to increase local competitiveness
  • deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and grow RBWM business
  • build effective customer relationships
  • implement compliance and risk management strategies
  • ensure adherence to processes and controls for mitigating risks
  • ensure compliance with AML and regulatory laws
  • recruit, train, and develop team members
  • form connections with the local community to enhance HSBC's brand and reputation.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate with approx. 5 to 10 years of experience
  • proven ability in team leadership and management
  • proven ability in retail distribution
  • proven ability in relationship management in the retail sector
  • demonstrate behaviours consistent with HSBC values
  • proven adherence to controls and compliance with no significant breaches
  • expertise in financial planning and related systems and processes
  • excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating
  • coaching sales techniques, best practice and sales management on a team and one to one basis
  • planning and organising skills
  • analytical skills
  • problem solving skills
  • attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by the local market
  • attain any internal standards as required by market.
