Job Description:

At Citi, the Vice President - Wholesale Banking Loan Operations - Transaction Manager role involves leading and developing a team to support loan origination and lifecycle management. Responsibilities include managing loan transactions, improving processes, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role requires extensive experience in wholesale lending and strong leadership skills.

Job Responsibility:

Build and develop the team supporting loan origination and lifecycle management
create and implement processes, standards, procedures, controls, and training
design and implement technology solutions, including testing and rollout
provide training and support to transaction management staff and business constituents
ensure quality of data, controls, and processes meets internal policies and regulatory requirements
define and implement operational metrics and risk reviews
improve processes and controls across loan lifecycle
lead projects to enhance performance and efficiency
manage deal closing pipeline for loan transactions
coordinate and close loan transactions and lifecycle events
assess and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

10-12 years of experience
excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
ability to work well under tight deadlines
strong quantitative skills with high proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs
familiarity with Tableau or other visualization tools
experience with Loan IQ or transaction capture tools
keen attention to detail
strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
client relationship and solution skills
experience in management and team leadership within a large global team
deep knowledge of wholesale loan products and their operational processes
substantial experience working with clients under time constraints
ability to collaborate with team members and senior management
critical decision-making capabilities
strong organizational and time management skills
awareness of corporate and regulatory policies related to lending
ability to work in a fast-changing environment
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.

Nice to have:

familiarity with Tableau or visualization tools
experience with Loan IQ or transaction capture tools
Master’s degree.
