This is a senior role in Business Execution within the Equities Technology organization, acting as a strategic partner to Technology leadership to drive execution, financial discipline, and organizational effectiveness. This role combines COO, Chief of Staff, and business management responsibilities, ensuring the organization operates with clarity, efficiency, and strong governance. Equities Technology at Citi is in a period of significant growth and undertaking a multi-year transformation to build a best-in-class global platform across execution, prime, clearing, and cross-product margining. We are re-engineering our technology estate to deliver world-leading performance, resiliency, and scalability, while enabling advanced execution capabilities, enhanced global market connectivity, and modernized post-trade, clearing, and margin processes. Business Execution is central to the success of this transformation. This role ensures delivery is executed with discipline, transparency, and pace, driving alignment across stakeholders, strengthening financial and operational rigor, and enabling leadership to deliver against strategic objectives. Job Responsibility
Own end-to-end financial governance across the Technology portfolio
Monthly forecasting, budget management, and variance analysis
Annual investment planning and prioritization
Client and senior stakeholder financial reporting
Partner with Technology Leads and Business Execution leadership to enable transparent, data-driven decision making
Identify and drive productivity and cost optimization initiatives aligned to strategic priorities
Track and manage key operational metrics including financials, headcount, and resource allocation
Drive execution of business priorities and transformation initiatives
Establish and maintain a strong operating cadence (governance forums, reviews, performance tracking)
Lead cross-functional coordination across Technology, Business, and Control functions
Support leadership decision-making through structured analysis and executive-ready insights
Lead development and execution of the executive communications strategy
Produce high-quality materials for senior stakeholders
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on messaging and narrative
Ensure consistency, clarity, and impact of communications across stakeholders
Partner with leadership to execute people and talent strategy
Organizational design and workforce planning
Talent development and engagement initiatives
Lead employee engagement efforts, including Voice of the Employee (VoE) programs
Support development of a high-performance, inclusive culture
Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and ways of working
Requirements
Experience in Business Execution, COO, Chief of Staff, or Business Management roles within Financial Services or Markets Technology
Proven track record in financial management, governance, and transformation delivery
Experience supporting senior executives in complex, global organizations
Strong financial and analytical capability
Executive communication and storytelling
Stakeholder management and influencing skills
Structured problem solving and delivery focus
Understanding of risk and control frameworks
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
