The Tri-County Technical College Health Education Division is seeking a collaborative, energetic, and innovative Veterinary Technology Instructor.

Job Responsibility

  • Teach courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction in the classroom and through distance learning
  • Design and develop courses and curriculum
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Perform castrations and ovariohysterectomies
  • Advise students
  • Review, evaluate and revise course objectives, instructional materials, and course syllabi
  • Ensure compliance with all accrediting guidelines
  • Serve as academic advisor to students
  • Participate in student recruitment and development
  • Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance
  • Evaluate level of achievement and assign grades
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Serve on College committees
  • Participate in recruiting and marketing activities

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of doctorate degree (DVM)
  • Must meet SACSCOC guidelines for teaching in the discipline
  • Active and unencumbered SC Veterinarian license (DVM)
  • a minimum of 5-year experience working with small and/or large animals in a clinical setting

Nice to have

prior teaching experience is preferred
