Are you a veterinary surgeon looking for a move away from corporates? Seeking more autonomy and scope? We are supporting a growing non-profit based in Birmingham as they seek a new Veterinary Surgeon to tackle their growing caseloads. The Practice: This is a first opinion, days only surgery based in Birmingham - we use a local corporate hospital for our OOH. We have referrals for cases from all across the West Midlands from both privately paying patients and charity referrals for certain cases. On site, we have: Digital and dental x-ray. Ultrasound x2, large theatres and consult rooms, separate wards and fantastic staff areas. We have 3 vets and 3 RVNs on site on any one day, focused on either medical consults, operations or inpatients. Our caseload continues to grow with our team and facilities; long term we will add to the practice and have plenty of space for it! We see a variety of cases ranging from shelter medicine referrals, spays, castrates, orthopaedics, imaging, RTAs and ECC and a whole lot more! An interest in all things GP is needed, but we are happy to discuss biases to support your own development. The Candidate: We are open to speaking with any MRCVS registered veterinary surgeon who is interested in working in a non-profit practice as we have a growing case load for you to tackle! We are ideally seeking (but won't be a deal breaker): Minimum of 3 years post registration experience. Confident with routine surgeries and strong medical skills. Knowledge of charity sector and nonprofit model. Able to commit to full or part time hours as a permanent vet, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. The Reward: One area we will never compromise on is out staff. We are proud to offer competitive salaries and benefits package so you know how much we value you. For a new clinical leader: Up to £75,000 basic salary; 240 hours annual leave; Great pension scheme; £1500 CPD budget plus 4 days per annum for studies; Paid RCVS, VDS fees, plus BVA, BSAVA.
