Job Description:

Join the large, supportive team at AES Hobart as a Vet Nurse! Be part of a fast-paced environment with a wide variety of interesting emergency cases. As an emergency vet nurse, you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery, critical nursing and critical case management. Experience exciting case diversity such as GDVs, impalements, hit by cars and in summer ticks, toads and snakes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hands on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery, and patient care
  • Collaborative approach to care between vets and vet nurses

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-year ECC experience or 3 years GP experience
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing minimum or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
  • Thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and team-work skills
  • Love of learning and continual improvement
  • Personal mode of transport (essential for shift work)
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts
