Job Description:

12-month internship designed to build strong clinical foundations in emergency and critical care through hands-on experience and structured support. Gain hands-on ECC experience within the Waikato After Hours roster, supported by experienced senior clinicians. Option to rotate through other specialties during your internship. Strong focus on clinical reasoning, case discussion, and professional growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assessment and stabilisation of emergency patients
  • Inpatient monitoring and case management
  • Diagnostics and treatment planning
  • Client communication in emotionally challenging situations
  • Case reviews and supported clinical decision-making

Requirements:

  • Registerable in New Zealand
  • Ideally with 1+ year of clinical experience (new graduates considered)
  • Genuinely interested in Emergency & Critical Care
  • Motivated, resilient, and eager to learn
  • A clear and compassionate communicator
  • Comfortable working as part of a close-knit clinical team
