Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Vet Nurse Manager to join our Hobart team on a full-time, 9-month maternity cover and provide strong leadership while continuing hands-on clinical nursing. This position offers approximately 30 hours per week of dedicated administration and leadership time, with the option to pick up additional clinical nursing shifts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team day-to-day
  • Oversee rostering, workflow, and staffing coordination
  • Maintain high clinical and operational standards
  • Support team engagement, wellbeing, and professional development
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Contribute to policy implementation, WHS compliance, and a positive team culture

Requirements:

  • Experienced veterinary nurse with strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Confident balancing management responsibilities with hands-on clinical work
