Job Description:

PAUL Tech AG is a technology leader in the real estate industry with the mission to make buildings carbon neutral. Our proprietary technology, consisting of IoT-enabled hardware and AI-supported software, permanently optimizes water-bearing systems in buildings. This reduces CO2 emissions and energy costs. Everyone benefits: owners, operators, occupants and the climate. At Paul, we are researchers, developers and practitioners with the common goal of developing intelligent solutions for buildings to combat climate change. To support our executive team (CEO, CFO, CTO, COO) in Munich or Mannheim, we are offering a Visiting Associate Internship (6–10 weeks, start date flexible). In this role, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working directly with our leadership on high-impact projects and taking on responsibility from day one.

  • Optimize capacity planning and resource allocation in our projects
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives
  • Further develop and manage our pricing model
  • Analyze market and pricing data and articulate the customer impact
  • Build transparency into cashflow and proactively manage exposure
  • Co-develop digital tools and processes to track down payments, supplier payments, and project progress in real time
  • Establish rigorous controlling for ongoing projects
  • Analyze project and product costs, identify value drivers and savings opportunities
  • Act as the entrepreneurial “troubleshooter” for urgent challenges

Requirements:

  • MBA and/or professional experience in a high paced and demanding environment at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, or a demanding startup/scale-up
  • Strong intrinsic drive and track record of excellence in both academic and professional settings
  • Exceptional skills in analytical thinking, problem structuring, and financial modeling
  • Ability to set up efficient business processes and independently steer a P&L
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and confident interaction with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong bias for action and leadership qualities through active involvement
  • Deep understanding of business models and financial drivers
  • Quick grasp of technical and product-related topics
  • High affinity for data and digital tools in data analytics and automation
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • Strong self-initiative, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive

Nice to have:

  • Experience in rapidly scaling structures and processes during growth phases
  • Ideally, you bring a background or at least a strong interest in our product/industry (e.g., engineering knowledge)
  • Ideally, you bring experience with applications such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Lovable, or n8n
What we offer:
