Job Description:

Join us in building the future of finance. Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading. About the team + role Robinhood’s mission has always been to democratize finance for all. With the upcoming launch of Robinhood Ventures, we’re taking a bold step forward—bringing access to private market investing to everyone, not just accredited investors! This new product line will unlock opportunities traditionally limited to a select few, helping more people participate in the growth of private companies. As a Venture Capital Partner, you will lead investment sourcing and portfolio management for Robinhood Ventures’ flagship publicly listed fund. You’ll work directly with founders, VCs, GPs/LPs, and secondary intermediaries to build a diversified portfolio of late-stage private companies and oversee its performance, regulatory alignment, and investor relationships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the lead Venture Capital Partner for Robinhood Ventures, setting and executing investment strategies for publicly listed private funds
  • Source investments through strong relationships with venture firms, founders, LPs, and secondary intermediaries
  • Execute complex transactions in primary and secondary markets, including direct investments and transfers of interest
  • Construct and manage a portfolio aligned with fund strategy, diversification goals, and risk tolerance
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and finance teams to structure innovative, compliant investment vehicles
  • Monitor and report on fund performance, exposure, liquidity, and allocations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent Robinhood Ventures to prospective and current fund investors, articulating investment rationale and fund strategy
  • Grow the investment team and help define new strategies and funds
  • Continue to build the Robinhood Ventures business and product into one of the largest private markets investors in the world

Requirements:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, fund management, or secondary market transactions, ideally in late-stage/pre-IPO companies
  • Extensive network across founders, venture firms, GPs, LPs, and secondaries markets
  • Strong track record in sourcing, evaluating, and closing private investments in a regulated fund structure (e.g., BDCs, closed-end funds, interval funds)
  • Solid understanding of U.S. securities regulations and fund reporting standards
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, judgment, and execution capabilities in high-growth environments
  • Highly collaborative communication style and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement
  • Deep alignment with Robinhood’s mission and passion for making private markets more inclusive
What we offer:
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • Best-in-class benefits including 100% paid health insurance for employees and 90% for dependents
  • Lifestyle wallet – a flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance, fertility support, and mental health coverage
  • Time off to recharge: company holidays, paid time off, parental leave, sick time, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, comfortable workspaces, and regular events
