Job Description:

The Vendor Account Senior Manager role encompasses ownership of managing relationships with third-party vendors to ensure optimal performance, compliance, contracting and alignment with organizational goals to ensure the delivery of exceptional provider experiences and operational excellence. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company and its vendors, overseeing contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key vendors
  • Contract Oversight: Negotiate, review, and manage vendor contracts and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Performance Monitoring: Track vendor performance using KPIs and scorecards
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve vendor-related issues promptly
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, legal, finance, and operational teams
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure ongoing compliance through annual security risk assessments
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze vendor spend and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Project & Program Management: Identify project stakeholders, establish effective communication channels, and manage expectations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or account management within the healthcare industry
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • 3+ years experience in contract management and performance tracking
  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA for healthcare, GDPR for data privacy)
  • Certification in vendor management or procurement (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is a plus
  • Commercial and Medicare Line of Business experience preferred
