Under the direction of Management and Vending Supervisor, the Vending Stand Lead is responsible for the complete operation of assigned concession stand. Trains personnel, supervises, and directs the work activities of others.
Job Responsibility:
Reports for scheduled work in a timely manner and is in complete uniform, with a neat and clean personal appearance
Must always maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor
Supervises and coordinates activities of vendors
Assigns duties within the stand
Analyzes and resolves all problems with the assistance of Concessions Supervisor and/or other management
Oversees and/or participates in stand set-up and closing procedures
Ensures that all workstations and the back of stand and storerooms remain clean and sufficiently stocked
Orders replacement stock as necessary
Efficiently and accurately completes required paperwork
On an event basis, ensures accuracy of opening and closing inventory, product transfers, and spoilage
Ensures accurate transaction totals during load purchases
Always keeps a quality appearance of the concession location
Must be knowledgeable of all positions and able and willing to fill any position in the location if needed
Manages staff to ensure food preparation meets guidelines set by Legends and the Board of Health
At closing, works with other stand personnel to properly clean equipment and organize stock for next event
Performs and completes other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification
Must be able to obtain RBS (alcohol) Certification
Must be willing to work hours that vary, according to the event schedule
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have basic computer skills
Prior experience as a stand attendant or other food service worker is necessary
Prior supervisory experience is helpful
Must be pleasant, courteous and enjoy working with people
Must be able to handle inventory efficiently
Must be able to work long periods
Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations
Must be able to smile, maintain positive body language, and consistently provide positive guest service
Must be able to make generalizations, evaluations, and decisions without immediate supervision
Constant standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions with the ability to stoop, lift, turn, push, grasp, handle, and reach
Able to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 lbs.
