Job Responsibility:

  • Define, create, and drive execution for overall vehicle durability/environmental test targets while working cross functionally with systems and sub-systems engineering teams
  • Support test planning and execution for fleet based validation activities to help drive edge case extraction, localized product use testing, and data ingestion
  • Support definition and realization of KPI’s to drive product use metrics
  • Supporting vehicle integration and measurement equipment setup, configuration, and operation
  • Drive testing at vehicle level for software features, performance, functionality, and stability
  • Drive traceability and directly support defect triage and management
  • Support planning and execution of vehicle tests to identify and align to homologation topics

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in systems test engineering, vehicle testing, or vehicle durability testing
  • Experience with instrumentation and data collection. E.g. accelerometers, strain gauges, force transducers, fleet ops, data logging equipment and signal conditioning
  • Core understanding of systems engineering processes and methods
  • Experience with testing vibration, shock, thermal cycling, and high temperature and humidity, corrosion tests
  • Experience with homologation, and durability testing
  • Requirements management tools such as JAMA
  • Planning and organization tools (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, SPI) and Vector tools
  • Comfortable riding 2 wheeled vehicles of various speed and power levels
