As a Vehicle Technician supporting Press & Marketing, Engineering, Motorsport, and third-party technical projects, you will play a vital role in the maintenance, preparation, and operation of a wide range of vehicles. This includes current production vehicles, prototype development cars, motorsport assets, special projects, and future product programmes. You will ensure vehicles are prepared to exceptional mechanical and visual standards for media events, engineering tests, motorsport activities, marketing campaigns, customer demonstrations, and external partner projects. The role requires flexibility, problem-solving capability, and a willingness to travel internationally. Job Responsibility:
Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across press, marketing, engineering, and motorsport vehicles
Perform HV diagnostics and repairs on electric vehicles in line with certification levels
Support engineering teams with prototype builds, test vehicles, and development activities
Assist with motorsport vehicle preparation, set-up, mechanical checks, and turnaround work
Accurately maintain maintenance records, repair logs, inspection sheets, and parts usage reports
Prepare vehicles to an exceptional standard for media drives, photo/video shoots, marketing campaigns, and promotional activations
Ensure vehicles meet brand presentation standards, including detailing, cosmetic preparation, and accessory fitment
Support motorsport event preparation, including setup, safety checks, tyre changes, fluids, and mechanical readiness
Fit and remove branding, decals, and campaign-specific or motorsport-specific components as required
Work with Press, Marketing, PR, and Motorsport teams to understand unique vehicle requirements for each event
Manage transportation, movement, and scheduling of vehicles for events, tests, track days, motorsport activities, and partner projects
Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries, collections, and fleet readiness
Provide event support on-site, including paddock or workshop setup, vehicle checks, and technical readiness
Liaise with event organisers, engineering teams, motorsport managers, and third-party partners to meet operational needs
Deliver rapid-response technical support at press events, engineering tests, track activities, and motorsport events
Perform live diagnostics and remedy unexpected technical issues to keep vehicles operational
Act as the technical representative at events, ensuring reliable, safe, and high-quality vehicle performance
Track vehicle usage, event mileage, incident reports, and service notes
Produce condition reports, performance summaries, and technical feedback for internal teams
Follow workshop health & safety processes, quality standards, and compliance guidelines
Report directly to the Workshop Supervisor or designated engineering/motorsport lead
Requirements:
Experienced Vehicle Technician or Automotive Engineer within a workshop, motorsport, or OEM setting
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems
EV / High-Voltage training and certification (essential)
Experience supporting trackside, motorsport, or high-pressure technical environments highly desirable
Ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, PR, Engineering, Motorsport, and external partners
High level of attention to detail, especially regarding vehicle presentation and brand expectations
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied hours due to event and motorsport commitments
Willingness and ability to travel internationally
Formal training and certification in automotive technology or vehicle repair
HV/EV certification required
Additional motorsport or manufacturer-specific training advantageous
