This includes current production vehicles, prototype development cars, motorsport assets, special projects, and future product programmes. You will ensure vehicles are prepared to exceptional mechanical and visual standards for media events, engineering tests, motorsport activities, marketing campaigns, customer demonstrations, and external partner projects. The role requires flexibility, problem-solving capability, and a willingness to travel internationally. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment that blends engineering, brand activities, motorsport operations, and hands-on vehicle expertise.

  • Perform HV diagnostics and repairs on electric vehicles in line with certification levels
  • Support engineering teams with prototype builds, test vehicles, and development activities
  • Assist with motorsport vehicle preparation, set-up, mechanical checks, and turnaround work
  • Accurately maintain maintenance records, repair logs, inspection sheets, and parts usage reports
  • Prepare vehicles to an exceptional standard for media drives, photo/video shoots, marketing campaigns, and promotional activations
  • Ensure vehicles meet brand presentation standards, including detailing, cosmetic preparation, and accessory fitment
  • Support motorsport event preparation, including setup, safety checks, tyre changes, fluids, and mechanical readiness
  • Fit and remove branding, decals, and campaign-specific or motorsport-specific components as required
  • Work with Press, Marketing, PR, and Motorsport teams to understand unique vehicle requirements for each event
  • Manage transportation, movement, and scheduling of vehicles for events, tests, track days, motorsport activities, and partner projects
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries, collections, and fleet readiness
  • Provide event support on-site, including paddock or workshop setup, vehicle checks, and technical readiness
  • Liaise with event organisers, engineering teams, motorsport managers, and third-party partners to meet operational needs
  • Deliver rapid-response technical support at press events, engineering tests, track activities, and motorsport events
  • Perform live diagnostics and remedy unexpected technical issues to keep vehicles operational
  • Act as the technical representative at events, ensuring reliable, safe, and high-quality vehicle performance
  • Track vehicle usage, event mileage, incident reports, and service notes
  • Produce condition reports, performance summaries, and technical feedback for internal teams
  • Follow workshop health & safety processes, quality standards, and compliance guidelines
  • Report directly to the Workshop Supervisor or designated engineering/motorsport lead

Requirements

  • Experienced Vehicle Technician or Automotive Engineer within a workshop, motorsport, or OEM setting
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems
  • EV / High-Voltage training and certification (essential)
  • Experience supporting trackside, motorsport, or high-pressure technical environments highly desirable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, PR, Engineering, Motorsport, and external partners
  • High level of attention to detail, especially regarding vehicle presentation and brand expectations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied hours due to event and motorsport commitments
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • Formal training and certification in automotive technology or vehicle repair
  • HV/EV certification required
  • Additional motorsport or manufacturer-specific training advantageous
