A local garage you can trust. Our client, Cadnam Garage, are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their expanding team. With a strong reputation built on honesty, transparency, and quality workmanship, the business continues to invest in its people, facilities, and equipment. Planning permission has been approved for site modernisation, allowing the workshop to accommodate wider, taller and heavier vehicles — securing long-term growth and development. Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Conduct MOT testing (or undertake training if not currently qualified)
  • Complete repairs to a high standard within agreed timeframes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation
  • Keep up to date with evolving vehicle technologies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Vehicle Technician
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
  • MOT Tester qualification preferred but training available if required
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with both colleagues and customers
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
