Vehicle Systems - Advanced Systems Engineer

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and participate in vehicle integration testing and system checkout for Systems and Software teams
  • Lead vehicle-level testing activities for advanced engineering projects, including test scheduling, planning, test procedure generation, test execution, data analysis, and results and issue reporting
  • Define vehicle architectures to develop and demonstrate GPO products
  • Plan development activities and resources assignments utilizing a global team Owners in AGILE program Iterations
  • Coordinate with others to ensure Systems deliverables are completed on time per project schedules, meet both internal and customer quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement and implement appropriate initiatives
  • Drive process, procedure, and methodology improvements to optimize work efficiency
  • Support pursuit activities and product demos
  • Design and execute vehicle feature benchmarking tests
  • Test and verify internally developed Active Safety vehicle features
  • Ensure team complies with the Automotive SPICE development requirements leveraging internal development processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 1-3+ years of vehicle-level testing experience in ADAS/Autonomous Driving, or 5+ years vehicle-level testing experience in one of the following areas: Durability/Reliability, Vehicle Dynamics, Homologation
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting networking, IT support, Windows and Linux, installations and updates
  • Self-motivated, well organized, flexible, works well with complex issues
  • Ability to multi-task and work in team environment
  • Hands on abilities for working vehicle builds
  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer, now, or at any time in the future
  • Experience with hardware/software interfaces and communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, Flexray, Ethernet, CANalyzer/CANape and other Automotive Tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux Ubuntu and Windows Command line (MS Windows) and UDP & TCP/IP networking
