Vehicle Prepper

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for polishing and finishing activities
• Use specialist polishing equipment, compounds, and tools to achieve a high-quality finish
• Inspect vehicle surfaces for scratches, imperfections, blemishes, and defects
• Carry out polishing and buffing activities to restore and enhance vehicle appearance
• Perform sanding and surface preparation work as required
• Select the correct polishing compounds and techniques based on paint type and surface finish
• Mask and protect sensitive vehicle areas during preparation and polishing processes
• Operate polishing equipment safely and effectively to ensure consistent results
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality targets
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety within the work area

• Previous experience in vehicle prepping, polishing, paint preparation, or finishing
• Experience working within rail, automotive, aerospace, or heavy engineering environments is desirable
• Ability to use polishing tools, sanding equipment, and associated preparation materials
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices within a workshop environment
• Flexible attitude towards shift working where applicable
