Job Description:

As a Vehicle Preparation Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring every vehicle leaving our premises meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and presentation. You will prepare vehicles for sale or lease, carrying out thorough inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure each vehicle is showroom ready.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out detailed vehicle inspections and identify any defects or areas requiring attention
  • Perform cleaning, polishing, and valeting to ensure vehicles are immaculate and customer-ready
  • Conduct minor repairs and adjustments such as replacing bulbs, topping up fluids, and checking tyre pressures
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with company standards and legal safety requirements before handover
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report any significant issues to the workshop manager
  • Assist with the safe movement and organisation of vehicles within the forecourt and workshop areas
  • Work closely with sales and service teams to meet customer delivery deadlines
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in vehicle preparation, valeting, or a similar automotive role is highly desirable
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for detail
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
