The Vehicle Inspector / Tester is responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating vehicles and related equipment in accordance with Navy motor transport standards and safety requirements. Responsibilities include conducting pre‑operational, operational, and post‑maintenance inspections to verify vehicle condition, performance, and roadworthiness. The Vehicle Inspector / Tester performs functional testing of vehicle systems such as brakes, steering, lighting, electrical components, and safety devices. This role includes identifying deficiencies, documenting inspection results, and coordinating with maintenance personnel to ensure corrective actions are completed. Additional duties include maintaining inspection records, supporting vehicle acceptance and turn‑in processes, assisting with compliance inspections, and ensuring vehicles meet operational and safety standards. The Vehicle Inspector / Tester supports fleet readiness and mission‑critical transportation operations in a remote environment.

Requirements
1–3 years of experience in vehicle inspection, testing, automotive maintenance, or fleet operations
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of automotive systems, safety inspections, and vehicle testing procedures
Ability to read inspection checklists, technical manuals, and basic maintenance documentation
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and working around vehicles
Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally
Passport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date
Nice to have
Previous experience working in motor transport, fleet maintenance, or inspection programs
Experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi‑national workforce
Familiarity with Navy, DoD, or government vehicle inspection standards
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the duration of deployment
Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
Valid driver’s license and passport
Ability to obtain country‑specific visa(s) in accordance with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide
