Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, keeping active and has a great eye for detail? We’ve got a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly Vehicle Imaging Team here at Charles Trent. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, enthusiasm and confidence using a mobile/computer - the rest we can teach you! This is a hands on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working with a wide variety of vehicles, capturing high quality images to help us showcase our stock in the best possible way. If you like the idea of being out in the yard, keeping busy and being part of a supportive team, this could be the role for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Capturing high-quality vehicle images using our software
  • Hands-on, site-based role focused on vehicle inspection, preparation and condition recording
  • Preparing vehicles for imaging and diagnostics
  • Spotting mechanical or cosmetic defects
  • Safely manoeuvring vehicles on site
  • Clearing personal items from vehicles in line with GDPR and returning them to service users
  • Working as part of the team to hit daily targets
  • Looking for ways to enhance vehicle value
  • General housekeeping and following H&S policies

Requirements:

  • Assign and/or perform routine maintenance on marine diesel engines (e.g. oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments)
  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines, propulsion systems, control systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct sea trials to verify repairs and ensure vessels are fully operational and seaworthy
  • Retrofit or upgrade engines and equipment per manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic results for each service or repair in MTC Pro
