Job Responsibility

  • Undertake the maintenance of vehicles and equipment to a planned maintenance schedule
  • Undertake the maintenance of all Road Rail vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with Legislation and manufacturer’s instructions
  • Undertake the maintenance of all other vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions
  • The recording of all maintenance activities against each unique inventory number
  • Ensure that all paperwork such as time sheets, maintenance records, delivery tickets etc are all returned timeously to the main office
  • Carry out on-site fitter cover & on-call duties, as and when required
  • Only operate plant and machinery on which you have been adequately trained
  • Ensure hazardous substances are only handled in accordance with instructions
  • Give proper consideration to all parties and persons who may be affected by the work, (including the effects of noise, dust and fumes)
  • Correctly using work items provided by QTS, including Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with training and instruction
  • Ensure all work is carried out to specifications and instructions
  • Assist in any other aspect of the Company where required

Requirements

  • Preferably hold current PTS
  • Must be familiar with the railway, maintenance and NR plant standards
  • Must be IT literate
  • Full clean UK driving licence
