Job Description:

Vehicle Assembler position in London ON. 1 year contract (renewable). Involves performing assembly and retrofit tasks on vehicles, preparing vehicles for painting, and adhering to safety policies. Work is performed in a manufacturing/shop floor environment with potential exposure to hazards like heavy machinery, noise, dust, and paint. Requires physical work in confined spaces and various postures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform Rebuild / Retrofit tasks and other general assembly duties, while under supervision of a qualified Technician
  • Clean vehicles and or parts as directed by trained Technician
  • Assist Technicians in other functional areas as require
  • Prepare vehicle for interior and exterior painting by scuffing applicable surfaces, employing proper masking techniques, and remove rust
  • Understand and apply the company safety policies and relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation and Code
  • Report any accidents, incident, and near misses and injuries
  • Follow company medical and first aid procedure
  • Use safe work procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 -2 years relevant experience
  • Proficient communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience working with teams and/or customers
  • Must be able to work swing shift
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks – i.e. lifting, climbing
  • Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined space

  • College diploma
  • Experience in a Shop / Manufacturing Environment
