A rare opportunity has arisen within the Fleet team for a Vehicle and Plant Equipment Mechanic. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual, having gained relevant industry experience and holding recognised qualifications to a minimum Level 3. You will be a dedicated member of the workshop team ensuring the Councils varied fleet of vehicles and plant equipment are continuously maintained in a safe and compliant condition for all users.
Job Responsibility:

Working closely with the wider Fleet and Facilities Services team, operational teams, general public, supplier network and relevant authorities
Requirements:
Relevant experience in a vehicle and or plant fleet maintenance operation
Ability to develop and gain new experience in a varied fleet of vehicles and plant equipment
Preferably IRTEC trained
Knowledge of relevant transport and construction and use legislation
Hold a current UK category B driving licence
Preferably hold a current UK category C driving licence and associated DCPC qualification
Ability and willingness to undertake training as directed by the organisation, some of which will require overnight stays
Nice to have:

Preferably hold a current UK category C driving licence and associated DCPC qualification
