Job Description:

ANDRES is currently accepting applications for a VDC Specialist in Dallas. VDC Specialists are responsible for supporting the implementation of BIM and VDC services through various aspects of the construction process. This position works closely with our Operations Technology and Preconstruction teams.

Job Responsibility:

Personally exhibit and mentor others to foster our culture guided by the ANDRES Five Core Values
Develop and implement corporate vision and plan for integrating VDC into company operations
Develop ANDRES' VDC capabilities and capacity
Focus on adding value through VDC
Lead and manage all VDC projects and initiatives
Develop BIM Implementation Plan / BIM Execution Plan on new projects
Assist the Preconstruction Team by using BIM Tools for QTO, coordination, and planning
Develop project's BIM schedule
Host 3D Clash Detection meetings
Educate project team members on the uses of VDC processes and BIM applications
Set up VDC field equipment software (TopCon)
Assist in the implementation of SiteAware across all projects
Build high-quality models or further develop existing models to be used for specific BIM processes at all project phases
Facilitate the modeling of mock-ups, critical details, missing information, and logistics / sequence plan
Utilize and present VDC capabilities to generate client confidence and trust
Utilize VDC capabilities to assist design partners in resolving issues before they cause delays or costs that negatively impact the client, ANDRES, or the designer
Share knowledge (best practices and lessons learned) on the ANDRES Forum
Seek consistent improvement and the elimination of waste

Requirements:

B.S. in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
1-3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Estimator, or Designer
Experience with BIM/technology programs
Well-rounded basic knowledge and experience of the design and construction processes
Proficient in modeling with Revit
Able to quickly learn new software tools and teach others

Nice to have:

Experience with modeling in Tekla, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketch-up or other modeling software is a plus
Experience in MEP coordination is preferred
Experience with Navisworks Manage and 4D schedules is a plus
