Assists in developing and/or managing vendor contracts and negotiations associated with software/system/hardware/equipment
Assumes primary system project lead role for division enhancements, software/system/hardware/equipment implementations, upgrades, including developing cut-over plans, conversion utilities and test plans

Troubleshoot, maintain and manage capital upgrades to electrical infrastructure and control systems operating at high voltage (115 kV), medium voltage (27.6 kV or 4.16 kV), low voltage (480 V), DC (250 VDC), small load (120 VAC) and control (24 VDC) levels
Coordinate the high voltage preventative and corrective maintenance program including annual infrared (IR) inspections of substation equipment, insulator cleaning, and oil tests of transformers
Coordinate the medium voltage preventative and corrective maintenance program including regular servicing and cleaning of Siemens and Joslyn breakers, transformers and switchgear
Coordinate the backup diesel generator preventative and corrective maintenance program to ensure regular testing and service

Act as company liaison with Hydro One and IESO with respect to shutdown scheduling, maintenance and communication
Manage multiple capital projects simultaneously, from conceptualization through to commissioning by first generating scopes of work, RFQ packages, schedules and cost estimates, then supervising selected contractors until project completion
Ensure compliance with codes, standards and regulations including, but not limited to, the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act
