Our client is a well established B2B business with a global client base and long standing partnerships with the major enterprise platforms. They are at an inflection point: the platform that runs the business works, but it was built on an older Microsoft stack, and leadership wants someone who can both modernize it and weaponize AI inside the product and the operation. This is not a ticket queue job. It is an architect and builder role with a leadership title. We are looking for a technologist who wants to own the full arc: redesign the platform, write code when it matters, stand up the infrastructure as code, and embed LLMs into the workflows that customers and internal teams actually use.
Job Responsibility:
Lead migration of a legacy VB codebase to a modern .NET architecture
Make build vs. buy decisions aligned with business and technical goals
Actively contribute to coding alongside internal developers and external consultants
Identify opportunities to leverage LLMs and agentic workflows across the product and business functions (sales, operations, finance, content)
Deliver AI-driven solutions end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, and deployment
Define and manage infrastructure as code for scalable, reliable systems
Establish governance frameworks to enable safe and confident adoption of new technologies across the organization
Own technology operations, including system reliability, security, and hosting environments
Oversee data infrastructure and ensure scalability and integrity
Manage third-party technology vendors and partnerships
Lead and support the internal team responsible for serving enterprise clients
Requirements:
Eight or more years in technology, with a clear progression from hands on engineering into leadership
Three or more years managing a technology team, including internal developers, third-party vendors, and infrastructure
Real depth in the Microsoft ecosystem. You have worked with .NET in anger, and ideally you have migrated or evolved legacy VB or classic Microsoft codebases into modern architectures
Hands on experience with infrastructure as code and cloud hosted environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
A working track record with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and workflow automation in a real business context, not a lab
The judgment to make build versus buy calls and defend them in business terms
Background in a services or platform business where technology directly supports revenue and enterprise client commitments is a plus
