This role is within the EDS segment, and you will be joining that segment as it becomes its own entity, with a rich heritage and proven track record as a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems. Job Responsibility:

  • Be the project leader and lead all kind of material cost reduction activities like Design-in, Insourcing, Resourcing, Make vs Buy, etc… from the proposal phase till implementation by coordinating all multifunctional teams
  • Establish and maintain regular communication meetings with CBU and plant teams to realize all kind of MCR projects
  • When required, create totally new project plans without missing any step by asking correct questions to all different department experts to make correct risk management not to have any line stoppages & quality risks
  • Run workshops together with VAVE manager to identify new potentials, follow up all results of the workshops till implementation phase
  • Speed up the implementation phase of all activities by his/ her personal involvement and experience
  • Constitute the MCR consciousness in all plant teams and ensure to evaluate the feasibility of all kind of changes in the product and in the plant
  • Give support to all plant teams for creating new feasible MCR proposals, encourage them and lead them in their activities
  • Document all kind of proposals in a systematic way and convert them to feasible ones
  • then follow up implementation
  • use DMF tool for this purpose
  • Support finance team during validation phase of the projects
  • Follow up new methodologies, innovative products and techniques to be able to participate R & D studies and lead the other departments if required
  • Be the expert in Aptiv on best practice materials by giving detailed info about their technical specifications, customer expectations, usage purposes, compatibility levels with other/same type materials and comparison with customer specifications
  • Follow the guidelines Design for Profitability

Requirements:

  • Solid technical knowledge of harnesses and components
  • Strong project and EC management expertise
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Access knowledge is a plus
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership, coordination, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage risks and identify opportunities
