The Vault Clerk is responsible for maintaining an accurate count of all items in their banks that have a cash value, these items include but are not limited to, cash, coin, chips, and checks. They ensure that all guidelines are meet as they relate to gaming regulations, pursuant to the (NIGC) Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), State Gaming Compact and all Policy & Procedure, Tribal Internal Controls Standards (TICS), and as they pertain to the gaming operations, the mission and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and the Otoe-Missouria Development Authority (OMDA).
Job Responsibility:
Maintain an accurate count of all items in their banks that have a cash value
Ensure all guidelines are met as they relate to gaming regulations
Properly record all transactions that are incurred on shift accurately and in a timely manner
Ensure that all currency transaction logs, and all reports are properly completed and filed
Prepare and complete all deposits for the Casino
Properly report any suspicious activities or transactions
Capable of conducting a countdown at the beginning and ending of their shift
Prepare reports, review reports, investigate variances, correct errant information, and ensure corrective action has been taken
Maintain open communication with all staff members
Keep Journal entries for any incidents that occurred during shift
Enter all transactions that are incurred into the computer for all reports
Perform cash exchanges/conversions
Responsible for the daily maintenance of all currency machines, adding machines
Responsible for complying with all policy and procedures
Keep logbooks for meal comps, Red Rock rewards, receipt/disburse vouchers
Keep all serialized forms in sequential order for auditing purposes
Verify the machine revenue money received from soft count
Follow the clearing of the hands policy
Fill all Kiosk/ATR and Dyna Cash Machines
Prepare all cash handling banks
Ensure that all cash items and non-cash items are always secured
Ensure that the Vault maintains a zero variance/at the beginning and ending of each shift
Maintain attendance to ensure Casino and Guest has necessary coverage
Monitors all relevant activities of the department to ensure applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls are understood and enforced
Aware of, understands and complies with regulatory requirements including Title 31 requirements
Performs all duties in accordance with company team member handbook, objectives, internal policies, procedures, and controls, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations
Maintains the Departmental Shift log(s) reviewing and noting any unusual occurrences, incidents, equipment failures, safety issues, disputes, etc.
Requirements:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Casino experience preferred
Must possess excellent computer knowledge and have experience with cash-handling and effective communication skills
Must be punctual and dependable
Read, write, and speak the English language
