Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven experienced Van Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. Renault Truck Commercials – Eastern Region to be based as a starting point in either Dunstable, Reading or West Thurrock, as the daily regional sales actives covers our East region – Felixstowe, Grays, Kent, Reading and Dunstable. The Sales Manager will oversee sales operations, develop and implement sales strategies, and maintain relationships with clients. Day-to-day tasks include managing the van sales sector for the East, monitoring market trends, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and support.

Job Responsibility

  • Sell Renault Trucks van products and service agreements in line with agreed sales targets
  • Maintain current key account customer relationships
  • Actively prospect for business with both new and existing customers
  • Regularly attend customer calls and meetings with the Van sales team to support in selling and closing deals
  • Promote and lead in maintaining and developing customer relations
  • In conjunction with marketing, implement promotional campaigns and review effectiveness
  • Commercial appraisal of deals to maximize company financial position
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director, responsible for management of Van Sales P&L and balance sheet
  • Represent region at key internal and external meetings
  • Ensure effective working relationships within RTC and RTUK
  • Ensure Van sales team effectively use CRM system
  • Coach and mentor direct reports
  • In conjunction with Sales Director, set sales targets for Van sales team
  • Ensure Van sales team comply with company sales processes
  • In conjunction with Sales Director develop commission schemes for Van sales team

Requirements

  • Formal training in management and leadership
  • Evidence of running successful sales operations in the Commercial Vehicle industry
  • Evidence of successfully leading, managing, coaching and mentoring employees
  • Good understanding of the Light Commercial vehicle retail business & environment
  • Formal Sales training qualifications
