Job Description:

Fixed term full-time position until April 2027. Commitment required to work across a rotating roster Monday to Friday. Availability required across all hours 6am - 6:30pm. As our Van Driver based out of the Pinkenba Facility, you’ll be operating picking up mail in our vans as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day. You’ll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others, and being a team player.

Job Responsibility:

  • Starting and finishing your day at the Pinkenba Pick-Up-Delivery Centre
  • Required to safely perform and operate a van to perform duties
  • picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices, and Delivery Centres
  • Picking up some mail and parcel items from our Business Customers
  • Unloading mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
  • Paired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development

Requirements:

  • You hold a full or probationary QLD driver’s licence and good driving history
  • You have experience driving a van or similar sized vehicle (automatic)
  • You are happy to participate in a pre-employment practical driving assessment
  • You're flexible with working additional hours if required
  • You are ok to handle packages that may contain food or alcohol products
  • You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
  • You are comfortable being on your feet, in and out of a vehicle frequently, and doing physical indoor and outdoor work
  • You'll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
  • You are available across a rotating roster and are flexible with times
