Job Description

Join Encompass Health as a Van Driver, playing a pivotal role in supporting the hospital to ensure seamless patient care within a community-focused environment that values both employees and the community it serves. Help our patients by providing transportation support, and serving as a friendly face for patients, families, staff, and visitors. Your skills will boost hospital efficiency, contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibility

  • Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws
  • Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs
  • Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections
  • Lifts and transfers patients appropriately
  • applies all safety equipment
  • Is competent in CPR and/or handles any patient emergency

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the heaviest class vehicle to be driven
  • CPR and First Aid Training
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous transportation experience required
  • Must be 25 years of age
