We are looking for a motivated and technically curious Graduate / Professional Engineer – Valves who is eager to build expertise in both manual and actuated valves. Whether you are a recent graduate or a professional with little or no prior experience in valve engineering, you will become part of a strong and supportive technical environment. You will receive close guidance from experienced valve engineers while gradually taking on greater responsibility for technical deliveries, specifications, and follow-up of valve packages in large and complex projects. In this role, you will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of valve packages—from valve selection and specification to procurement follow-up, design integration, testing, and documentation. You will contribute to solving technical challenges and take part in key project activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). After completing your training, you will gradually take on the role of Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for valves, contributing to studies, engineering activities, and follow-up of deliveries. You will be trusted with end-to-end responsibility for valve packages and work closely with projects, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
PRE responsibility for valve packages, with focus on the technical follow-up of both manual and actuated valves
Prepare technical specifications, technical requisitions, and datasheets for the procurement of valves and Special Items
Participate in technical evaluation of supplier quotations and quality assurance of supplier documentation
Technical follow-up of deliveries, including handling technical queries and non-conformance requests
Establish and maintain specifications for valves, piping components, and piping special items
Close collaboration with the client’s technical specialists, internal disciplines, suppliers, and fabrication/installation teams
Assist in preparation and execution of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and other inspections at supplier facilities
Contribute to studies, technical philosophies, and design basis documents
Work together with a team of valve engineers, with support and guidance throughout the graduate period
Requirements:
Higher technical education (MSc or BSc) within mechanical engineering, energy/process, automation, petroleum, Materials engineer or another relevant disciplines
Vocational education, certificates of apprenticeship, or relevant work experience may compensate for formal education requirements
Understanding of relevant standards is an advantage (ASME B31.3, EN 13480, PED, EN 13445)
Strong collaboration skills in cross‑disciplinary teams, with a structured and detail‑oriented approach
Curious, eager to learn, and staying up to date on relevant technology and best practices
Strong oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English
Nice to have:
Understanding of relevant standards (ASME B31.3, EN 13480, PED, EN 13445)
Vocational education, certificates of apprenticeship, or relevant work experience may compensate for formal education requirements
