Job Description:

About Exelab: Exelab is a technology partner for enterprise companies, specializing in the design and development of custom digital applications that enhance customer engagement, streamline business processes, and enable data-driven decision-making. We integrate HubSpot, Twilio, AWS, and Databricks, working with leading brands to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions tailored to their needs. Our work spans enterprise-grade CRM implementations, marketing automation, AI-driven analytics, and advanced customer experience platforms, always with a focus on customization and seamless integration. The Value Builder Role in Exelab's Tailor-Made Solutions: At Exelab, we don't sell off-the-shelf products – we build custom, innovative solutions that directly target our clients' unique business objectives. Each client engagement is treated as a mini product development cycle: we start from a specific business problem and craft a tailor-made solution to deliver measurable business impact. The Value Builder will be the linchpin of this process, spanning multiple products/solutions over the year, each developed for different clients. This requires rapid learning, adaptability, and a consistent methodology to deliver results across varied domains.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with business analysts and clients to understand business challenges and market context
  • Define a clear product vision and value proposition for each solution, ensuring direct ties to improving the client's KPIs
  • Translate product vision into concrete roadmap and feature backlog
  • Prioritize features that maximize business impact while meeting end-user needs
  • Take full responsibility for UX design of each solution
  • Maintain final decision authority on all UX choices
  • Lead cross-disciplinary teams through design, development, and deployment
  • Work in complete synchronization with developers, maintaining continuous communication throughout the workday
  • Oversee the solution's development lifecycle end-to-end
  • Coordinate testing and collaborate with Tech Lead and Project Manager on go-live strategy
  • Define KPIs and success metrics upfront
  • Once launched, continuously measure against targets
  • Conduct qualitative observation of solution usage in client environments
  • Act as a bridge to the client's organization throughout the project lifecycle
  • Engage directly with clients to observe solution usage and ensure adoption

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in business operations, particularly in areas impacting the customer lifecycle
  • Experience in commercial roles, marketing, CRM implementation, or as a product implementer/entrepreneur
  • Proven track record of understanding and improving business KPIs
  • Must quickly grasp client industries and business models
  • Experience setting and tracking product metrics and making data-driven decisions
  • Practical experience in building and launching products
  • Experience working as a product implementer, leading digital transformation projects, or being an entrepreneur
  • Exceptional ability to quickly understand technical concepts and their business implications
  • Comfortable engaging in natural language discussions about technology choices
  • Familiarity with AI capabilities helpful
  • Superb communication skills
  • Italian language proficiency mandatory
  • At least B2-level English
  • Bias toward action and measurable outcomes
  • Comfortable with rapid iteration and adapting quickly based on feedback
  • Experience in fast-paced environments
  • Typically education in business, economics, or related fields
  • 5+ years in product management or business solution implementation
  • Proven track record of launching products with measurable business impact
  • Strong business acumen with ability to understand technical possibilities
  • Excellent communicator who can work intensively with technical teams
  • Passion for solving real business problems through innovative solutions

  • Measurement Framework Definition: Collaborate with Value Builders and Project Managers during discovery phases to define how each project’s success will be measured. Build the analyses personally, distinguish correlations from causality, identify confounding variables, and build rigorous analyses that enable correct attribution of results. When numbers don’t add up, propose course corrections based on concrete evidence
  • Purpose-Driven Analysis: Ensure every analysis has a clear purpose and consequent action. Every insight must translate into a decision or action. Know when data is sufficient to decide and when deeper investigation is needed

Requirements
  • You've built or managed a technical community before — developer relations, open-source, or something adjacent
  • You know the difference between a community and an audience, and you've built the former
  • You've worked with sponsors or partners before and know how to structure relationships that create real value on both sides — not just transactional ones
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can operate in early-stage programs where the playbook doesn't exist yet
  • You understand how developers think, what they care about, and what makes them roll their eyes
  • You're genuinely excited about open-source AI — not as a trend, but as something worth fighting for
  • You can hold two things at once: the community's trust, and the organizational relationships that make the programs possible
Job Responsibility
Job Responsibility
  • Own the builder pipeline: the developers, tinkerers, and AI engineers who want to build on open AI infrastructure. You'll help them find each other, find Mozilla, and find reasons to stay engaged. But you'll also help build the external relationships — with companies, projects, and organizations across the ecosystem — that give those programs real weight and staying power
  • Help design and run a program of in-person events in cities where open AI builders are already gathering — not just the major hubs
  • Work with ecosystem partners to co-produce events that feel native to the communities they're in
  • Own the logistics, the run-of-show, and the follow-through that turns a one-time event into a recurring thing
  • Identify the right culminating moments — venues and formats that give the community a chance to show what it's built
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with companies, projects, and organizations who want to build alongside the open AI community — not just sponsor a logo on a banner
  • Develop and pitch partnership and sponsorship opportunities that are genuine fits: technical collaborators, ecosystem investors, and organizations with shared values
  • Structure partnerships that create real value for builders — access to tools, compute, datasets, mentorship, or distribution — not just funding
  • Help Mozilla become the kind of partner that other organizations want to work with: trusted, well-networked, and worth the relationship
  • Be present in the online spaces where open-source AI developers actually live: GitHub, Discord, Reddit, Hacker News, and wherever else the conversation is happening

  • A work setup including the latest hardware and software of your choice
