Job Description

As a Valuations Control AVP, you will perform Independent Price Verification (IPV) across a range of trading portfolios to ensure valuations are accurate, robust, and compliant with regulatory standards. The day-to-day responsibilities include analysing valuation movements, investigating and resolving price testing exceptions, and escalating issues through appropriate governance forums and committees. You will work closely with Front Office, Risk, Model Validation, Market Data, and Technology teams to address valuation, model, and data-related challenges, while also contributing to control enhancements, methodology reviews, audit responses, and automation or change initiatives within the Valuation Control function. The role offers strong exposure to complex financial products, valuation methodologies, and evolving regulatory expectations across multiple asset classes. It provides an excellent opportunity to develop stakeholder management, risk awareness, and professional judgement at the intersection of Finance, Risk, and the Front Office.

Requirements

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with exposure to programming or quantitative tools
  • Experience within control functions such as Valuations, Product Control, or similar finance/risk teams
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, R, or C++
