We are seeking an outstanding candidate for a Director position working in the Design & Execution (D&E) team within the Valuation Control Group (VCG) which is part of Finance Controllers organization. This role is critical and influential in helping shape and drive process and technology change across the group. The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is a cornerstone of Citi Controllers. VCG is responsible for the independent valuation control of Citi’s traded inventory, as well as other areas where fair value principles need to be applied, such as PRA/ECB Prudent Valuation requirements. The group is organized into global product aligned teams and specialised functions such as Reporting, Valuation Methodology & International, and Design & Execution (D&E). The VCG Design & Execution team is primarily responsible for defining and implementing the Firm’s vision of a best-in-class Valuation Control function.
Job Responsibility:
Leading a global team of 10+ individuals that will focus on delivering an extensive book of work across the Derivatives Independent Price Verification (IPV) workstream
Partnering with Technology to deliver the right infrastructure tools and solutions aligned to both the Valuation Control vision and best in class Finance direction
Appropriately assessing risks and issues related to the projects and ensuring timely and effective escalation
Stakeholder management covering senior leaders within VCG, senior technology partners and internal and external auditors
Creating ideas and insight of how the Valuation Control process can be improved, simplified and operate more effectively
Manage the delivery of business requirements, user-acceptance testing and implementation for Valuation Control programmes, in line with Citi documentation standards
Support change management design, development, delivery and management of communications
Lead roll out changes with key stakeholders
Act as point for leaders within Valuation Control, helping them fulfil the role of change sponsor
Working alongside the broader VCG team to design and implement a Best In Class Finance function
Generate a strong partnership with Technology to deliver business tools and solutions to support Valuation Control function
Acting as a partner across Finance and to the other key stakeholders (Business, Risk, Compliance, Technology, etc.) in relation to Valuation Control change initiatives
Help manage stakeholder engagement by identifying and managing anticipated resistance and any obstacles
Sets high standards and achieves performance objectives

Requirements:
Proven Finance experience, ideally with broad Product Control and IPV experience
Proven ability and experience of leading change across a number of different teams / stakeholders
Experience in business analyst role for complex system implementation projects
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Extensive experience at senior levels within valuation or risk control departments, involved with technical valuation, regulatory/audit & governance issues
Proven multi-discipline, cross-product knowledge
Familiarity with advanced data tools (e.g. Python etc) may be an advantage
Extensive people management experience
Strong planning & organisational skills
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal with a range of senior/junior staff across a number of disciplines
