Job Description:

The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is an independent global group within Product Control responsible for reviewing and reporting fair value inventory and IPV across all asset classes. The successful candidate will oversee the Collateral and Client Valuation Controls and will be expected to have hands-on involvement as well as supervisory responsibility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for working across Product Control, Risk and Operations and Business to perform IPV
  • Support review of valuation control related production, such as Independent Price Verification
  • Work to ensure a high level of accuracy across all reported numbers and high quality of pertaining commentaries
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and /or other team members
  • Resolve complex problems/issues independently, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines, or processes
  • Relationship management and development across other peers within VCG to ensure consistency of processes and controls
  • Coordinate technology related initiatives and automations for Collateral and Client Valuation through involvement in UAT workstreams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant professional experience
  • General understanding of securities and derivative valuation methodologies
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills: High volume data analysis background would be a plus
  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation and leadership skills with experience of presenting to large audiences with multiple participants
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Proficiency in any of these would be an advantage: VBA, Knime, Tableau
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any finance, economics, or quantitative related subject.
