Job Description:

The Validation Test Engineer will be responsible for testing complex embedded automotive systems and validating hardware design and production processes. Ensure high-quality delivery by collaborating with development and system engineering teams, activity will be done on-site in Craiova, Romania.

Job Responsibility:

  • Apply global standard ISO 16750 and customer-specific norms for electrical and environmental testing (e.g., LV124, VW8000, GMW3172)
  • Perform environmental and electrical validation tests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality during development and production phases
  • Open to sporadic business trips to different locations in Romania
  • Conduct: Requirement reviews, Test automation in EXAM / dSPACE AutomationDesk based on customer specifications and international automotive standards
  • Test setup creation using: Climatic chambers, HIL systems, manual setups with programmable power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators
  • Monitoring during test execution, parametric measurements, results and error analysis, reporting
  • Define and apply validation strategies and methods considering quality / cost / time principles

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 4-8 years of experience as a Validation Test Engineer, in automotive embedded systems
  • Experience handling test equipment: Temperature and humidity chambers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, HIL systems (EXAM / dSPACE AutomationDesk)
  • Experience with ALM tools (e.g., DOORS NextGen, EWM)
  • Good hardware (HW) knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills (collaboration with Test Managers and lab locations)
  • Open-minded, focused on continuous improvement of test solutions
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
