This role will play a key part in supporting projects beyond automotive, contributing to the development of new competencies, processes, and solutions for these emerging industries - such as Aerospace, Defense, Robotics, BESS, MHDV, etc.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and coordinate prototype builds of electrical wire harnesses, in line with regulatory, customer and internal requirements, including sourcing, processes, methods, and tooling
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and 3D CAD models for harness prototypes
Plan and coordinate functional, electrical, environmental, and mechanical validation tests, in compliance with relevant standards
Analyze prototype results, conduct root-cause analyses, and propose design or process improvements
Provide technical input to DFMEA and PFMEA
Maintain engineering documentation and ensure compliance with the quality management system
Identify new product requirements and perform benchmarking of solutions and products for adjacent markets
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality and other departments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred)
3–5+ years of relevant professional experience in engineering or manufacturing, preferably involving Electrical Wire Harnesses in Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Robotics, or similar industries
Familiarity with testing and validation standards for electrical components, preferably in Aerospace & Defense or automotive-related markets
Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical design and CAD tools
Knowledge of electrical measurements and statistical methods
