Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is looking for a Full Time Valet Parking Attendant who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate service experience. Our Valet Parking Attendants are a part of a dynamic team that provides award-winning service to our guests. This position reports to the Front Office Manager. U.S. work authorization is required for this position.
Job Responsibility
Greets guests who arrive by private car and assists guests descending from cars. Issues appropriate valet parking ticket to guests when Door Staff is unavailable
Creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant and banquet guests by welcoming them to the hotel and safely parking their car in the hotel or local garage
Drives car to hotel or local garage, adhering to all traffic regulations, and speed limits, using caution not to damage the vehicle being driven and other vehicles in the vicinity. Yields to pedestrians
Assesses any damage to vehicle. Clearly notes any damage on claim ticket along with location of vehicle when parked. Deposits key and ticket with Valet Cashier
Opens hotel doors for all guests and gives verbal welcome when not parking or retrieving guest cars
Provides guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions. Hails taxis as needed
Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
resolves customer complaints, assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, etc
Retrieves car for guests in a swift and safe manner
Requirements
United States driver's license
driving record in good standing
Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles
The ability to stand during an entire work shift
The ability to pull luggage carts with weight of up to 200 pounds. Cart may be pulled up to the length of a full city block. Also, the ability to lift boxes of up to 100 pounds and carries them for up to 15 feet
An innate ability to communicate one-on-one with guests and provide intuitive service

Compensation: $21.30/hour, plus gratuities and applicable porterage fees
