The Leisure Travel Advisor creates personalized travel experiences and is responsible for leading prospective clients through the entire sales cycle from inbound lead generation to booking the trip and maintaining the post-booking relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the point-of-sale contact and support for Domestic & International travel, arranging both routine and sophisticated travel reservations for air, rail, car, hotel, etc.
Handle the end-to-end booking process including ticketing/exchanging, order fulfillment, quality control, and requested changes
Act with integrity when handling personal and confidential traveler information
Provide consultative advice, problem solve solutions, and recommendations
Use positive telephone/email/chat techniques
act quickly on special customer requests and maintain excellent client relations
Follow internal compliance and regulatory requirements for all customers
Proactively support preferred supplier programs and maintain internal and external performance level goals
Participate in training, supplier, and engagement programs either virtually or in-person as required
Express passion and energy within the organization and always act according to company Ethics, Values, and Compliance guidelines
Responsibilities include corporate and leisure travel for high profile executives – “VIP” travel reservations
All aspects of travel planning will be required – air/hotel/transfers, dinner reservations, show tickets, etc.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ recent/active travel experience including domestic and minimal supervision
Ability to work independently and in a team with direction from a manager
Working knowledge of various technology platforms, booking concepts, Microsoft Office tools, email and the like international reservations
Must possess extensive travel knowledge and first-hand experience
Relationship with and knowledge of cruise and tour vendors preferred
Existing ongoing client relationships that result in continued travel
Ability to convey exceptional customer service through all distribution channels (oral, written, electronic)
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, as well as initiative, resourcefulness, and creativity
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks with
Minimum of 5 years Sabre reservation system and verifiable work experience in a travel agency environment
Candidate must have flexible working hours, depending on needs of travelers
