Job Description

If you’re a cleared UX/UI Developer & Designer who proposes powerful business solutions, cares deeply about the user journey, and elevates user experiences by bridging the gap between intuitive design and functional code – read on. Eleven Peppers is hiring for an exciting web design and development contract in McLean, VA. Government clearance is REQUIRED along with at least five years of related experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage communication websites, to include not just updates to content but improving functionality (a UX’ers dream) using WordPress and Joomla
  • Building websites from the ground up

Requirements

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree in UX, Design, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience (4 additional years of professional experience working as a front-end developer, web designer, UX designer, or related field can be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • Experience designing and developing high-quality websites using WordPress and Joomla
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.x, Section 508 compliance, responsive design, and front-end best practices in secure government environments
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups is your jam
  • Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles
  • You can successfully build out websites from the ground up and easily transfer existing content along the way
  • Working independently or jumping in to work collaboratively with a team
  • You have an awesome portfolio or link you can share that showcases design experience
  • Ability to take the reins and manage projects thought the website development process
