Our client, a major telecommunications and media company, is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer for a freelance/contract opportunity supporting their digital experience design team. This role sits at the intersection of design, technology, and business strategy, focused on crafting omnichannel digital experiences that are intuitive, innovative, and seamless for customers. The team is newly formed and entrepreneurial in nature, working across sales, marketing, product, and brand to deliver experiences that meet both business goals and customer expectations — with a particular focus on e-commerce sales flows and prospect/sales journeys. This is a remote opportunity, though candidates based in the Philadelphia area are a plus. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with ambiguity, can dig into a project without waiting for full direction, and collaborates closely with product teams. This is an ongoing freelance assignment. Pay rate range: $55-$65 /hour
Job Responsibility
Design, develop, and produce holistic, end-to-end digital experiences across channels
Advocate for the user while partnering closely with product managers to solve complex problems strategically
Create flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and other design artifacts to define and communicate user experiences
Work independently with minimal oversight while also leading projects and initiatives autonomously
Drive an iterative, collaborative, user-centric design process built around rapid prototyping and continuous improvement
Contribute to consistent visual and interaction design across flows and channels
Partner with UX research to plan user testing and translate findings into design improvements
Conduct stakeholder interviews, analyze customer feedback, and research user behavior to enhance existing products
Collaborate with product teams to evaluate and prioritize features that balance business and user needs
Participate in and/or lead design workshops to support discovery and deepen understanding of user needs
Confidently present UX/UI design work to stakeholders, users, and development teams in both formal and informal settings
Dive into ambiguous problems and begin contributing without waiting for complete direction
Requirements
5-7 years of relevant UX/UI design experience
Experience designing for digital web and mobile products
Strong proficiency in Figma
Proactive, analytical, and organized approach to work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of marketing principles as they relate to digital experience
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking initiative without extensive direction
Strong collaboration skills, particularly in partnership with product teams
Experience in telecommunications or a related large-scale consumer service industry is ideal
Nice to have
Experience with web development and CMS systems is a plus
