Our client, a key player in Belgium’s energy sector, is looking for an experienced UX Service Designer to join their Retail & B2B division in Brussels. In this role, you will contribute to the design and optimisation of digital services and platforms used by residential customers, professionals and partners. Working within a multidisciplinary digital team, you will apply design thinking methodologies to address complex challenges and ensure consistent, user-centred journeys across all touchpoints. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, developers, product owners and business stakeholders, playing a central role in shaping digital experiences and improving service delivery. Job Responsibility:
Design and improve end-to-end service experiences aligned with user needs and business objectives
Analyse existing ecosystems, applications and journeys to identify opportunities for optimisation
Develop service blueprints, workflows and customer journey maps in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews, usability testing and data analysis
Translate research insights into clear, actionable design solutions and improvements
Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions and design sprints to align stakeholders and generate ideas
Create wireframes, prototypes and design deliverables across web, app and digital platforms
Support user testing activities and integrate feedback into iterative design improvements
Promote design thinking practices across teams and support adoption within the organisation
Requirements:
Ambition to further develop your career in service design and user experience within the energy or digital services sector
At least 5 years of solid experience in service design and applying design thinking methodologies
Past experience in complex digital environments is a strong plus
You’re at your best when solving complex problems and translating strategy into user-centred solutions
Your strengths are journey mapping, service blueprinting, user research and stakeholder facilitation
Working experience with tools such as Miro, Figma (or Adobe XD), and prototyping tools is key
Strong communication, collaboration and facilitation skills are needed in this job
Strong communication skills (written and oral) in French or Dutch and a good level of English
Nice to have:
Past experience in complex digital environments is a strong plus
