We're looking for a strategic UX Manager to lead our Consumer Search & Orientation team and shape how millions of people find their next vehicle on mobile.de, Germany's largest automotive marketplace. You will lead a talented team of designers and researchers to create best-in-class experiences and be a leader for change in how AI and other emerging technologies may reshape how people find their next vehicle.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with cluster leadership to shape product strategy and roadmap priorities
Own the UX vision and strategy for consumer search and discovery
Explore how emerging technologies can improve the search experience
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of designers and researchers
Empower your team to conduct impactful research and integrate findings
Drive UX excellence across the consumer platform
Establish high standards for design quality, user research, and data-informed decision making
Become an expert and advocate for our users and their needs while maintaining strong business context
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience leading and developing UX teams
Strong coaching skills and ability to create team culture
Comfortable managing both designers and researchers
Experience creating product and design strategies that meet business goals and user needs
Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels
Extensive background in UX with deep understanding of user-centered design principles
Strong grasp of user research methodologies and integrating research into product development
Experience balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints
Excellent communicator who can articulate design rationale and influence across functions
Comfortable leading discussions and working with a variety of teams and leaders
Passion for design, research, collaboration, and developing people
Curiosity about users and emerging technologies
Ability to provide clarity in ambiguous situations
Effective English required
